1899 Olympia 20 1/2 inch Antique Disc Music Box Playing “ZENDA WALTZES”

Video comment by MusicBoxBoy: Here is my first video of our 1899 Olympia 20 1/2 inch oak disc music box on its matching oak disc music cabinet playing “Zenda Waltzes”. Olympia music boxes were made by the relatively small F.G. Otto Company of Jersey City, New Jersey. The Otto Company produced excellent quality music boxes and music box disc cabinets with a great deal of eye appeal from their fancy carved cabinets with nice canted corners . Olympia music boxes possess a unique, delicate early disc music box sound. It’s difficult to describe but once you have heard an Olympia you will know what I mean. 1800年代後半から1900年代前半に主にスイスで生産されていましたが、すぐ後にレコードが登場した為現存数が少ないです。

何年か前からすごく好きで、特にこの曲とベニスの謝肉祭が。

まるで大量のハンドベルで演奏してるような綺麗な音がします。
